Adoka Niitsu

I’m Adoka Niitsu, a Japanese artist who explores visual communication and new technologies. I’m inspired by fossils and the reproduction of images.
I am based in Paris but my interest in prehistoric art led me to Lascaux where I have my atelier. Check the view from my studio; the roof is made with Lauze limestone.
I’m working on this found stone which makes me think of the origins of art and communication. During the lockdown, I feel I’m confined in a cave and I compare myself to the Cro-Magnon artists that lived 20,000 years ago.
